Quadralay on the Road Extra |
elcome to the latest issue of THE WORKS, the Quadralay Newsletter. I'd like to start off by thanking everyone for the massive interest being shown in our new DITA adapter for the ePublisher platform. The feedback we have received has reinforced that with ePublisher our customers and partners can fully focus on publishing feature rich on-line content independent of the original authoring environment. Due to the interest being shown in the DITA solution we have decided to extend our series of DITA webinars through April and you will find the new dates below. If you haven't yet attended one of these sessions, I would recommend registering as soon as possible as space is limited.
We are also continuing to plan the events and sessions for RoundUp 2007, the WebWorks conference scheduled for November in Austin, TX. This month we would like to ask your help to make sure that we present the best sessions covering subjects that you want to learn more about. We have set up a on-line survey listing 24 potential topic items and we are asking our customers to rank them based on level of interest. We will then select the most popular sessions to be included on the finalized conference schedule. You can find the on-line survey HERE.
Our mission is to help you deliver:
Your Content. Your Way. Every Time.

-Tony McDow

The list can be found HERE and we would encourage you to check them out and indicate your interest in each topic.
The survey will be active for a month and next month we will announce which topics our customers have selected to be included on the conference program.

On March 13, Alan Porter from Quadralay was the featured speaker at the Society of Technical Communication (STC) Houston Chapter meeting. He presented on "Eliminating END GAME From The Creation of Electronic Deliverables." The meeting was well attended with lots of great questions asked both during and after the presentation. Thanks to the Houston STC Chapter for their generous hospitality and to all those that attended.
Teams from Quadralay recently attended both the WritersUA event in Long Beach and the Content Management Strategies conference in Boston. Initial reports from both events suggest that they were well attended and generated active discussion about many aspects of online content delivery. We will have more detailed reports on each event in next month’s issue of The Works.
On April 5, Alan Porter from Quadralay will be the featured speaker at the
Society of Technical Communication (STC)
Austin Chapter meeting. He will be presenting on "Making Sense of
Standards." The meeting will be held at the J.J. Pickle Research Campus of the
University of Texas in Austin starting at 7:00 p.m.
