Summary

ePublisher and DITA

ePublisher 9.3 and Authoring Tools

The release of 9.3 expands the power of ePublisher to companies that are currently, or are considering, authoring their content in XML using the DITA standard. By taking advantage of ePublisher's adapter for DITA-XML, you can now use a variety of XML-compliant authoring tools as well as continue to use Adobe FrameMaker, in both structured and unstructured modes, and Microsoft Word. ePublisher 9.3 is the first publishing tool that will also allow you to mix and merge content created in any authoring environment into one seamless online deliverable.

ePublisher 9.3 Upgrades

For existing users the release of ePublisher 9.3 includes many significant improvements including more efficient memory handling for increased publishing speed, more streamlined workflow, and support for style variables.

ePublisher 9.3 and the DITA Open Tool Kit

ePublisher 9.3 supports and builds on the standards-based architecture of the DITA Open Tool Kit (OTK). ePublisher 9.3 gives you the capability to add additional formatting features to your DITA content that isn't available using the OTK. ePublisher is not dependent on any particular version of the OTK.
