Modifying Variable Values

A major benefit of using variables is that you can control their values from a single location. In your project, you are able to change the value of any variable; when you change the value of a variable in your project, it will only affect the value of the variable in the output. It does not change the value of the variable in your actual source document.

In your ePublisher Express project, you have the option to use your own variable value, or you can use the value that is defined for the variable in the source document. If you want to use the value defined for the variable in the source document, you must select the Use Document Value option.

To modify a variable value:

3.

Click in the Value field next to the variable to highlight its current definition and make the desired changes to the value, or select the Use Document Value option.
