In ePublisher Pro, there is an option to deploy your output files. When you deploy your generated output files, you are directing the files to a location that you have specified as a target destination. The target destination is a location that you specify, which is either a local directory or a network share.
For example, if you would like to deploy your output files to a network location, then in ePublisher Pro, you need to create a target destination, which essentially specifies the location on the network to which you would like to deploy your files.
In order to deploy your output files, you must define at least one target destination for your project. You can also define multiple target destinations; this can be useful, for example, if you use both a staging server and production server. The target destinations you define are saved from one ePublisher Pro session to another, so you only need to define each target destination once.
In order to deploy output, these are the steps you must follow to deliver your output to a target destination:
|
1. |
From the main menu, choose Edit > Preferences. |
|
2. |
Click on the Deployment tab. |
|
3. |
Click on the Add drop-down button. |
|
4. |
Choose Folder from the drop-down list. |
|
5. |
In the Name field of the dialog box that appears, type in a name for the target destination. The name will be the nickname of the target destination; for example, if you plan to deploy to a location on your local machine, you should assign the target destination a descriptive name so that you know that it refers to the location on your local machine. When you deploy to a target destination, you will only be able to see the name of the target destination, rather than the location that the target destination is pointing to; therefore, having a descriptive name allows you to identify each target destination more easily. |

In the Directory field, click on the Open button |

Click OK to populate the Directory field with the path to the location in which you would like to deploy your output. |
